LANFA has experienced tremendous growth since it’s inception, The Los Angeles Nollywood Film Association a home for a multicultural event in which diversity is embraced and cherished in our community.  Over the years our goal has been to provide a platform  for our creative artists to produce and showcase the unique artistic abilities, increase the level of awareness in the community, promote the brand, strengthen and grow the credibility of the group. To also foster the creation of successful working partnerships, empower networking, raise visibility, and strengthen distribution and marketing channels.
​      To recognize leading contributors who are working towards the growth and development of international films and Music industries.  LANFA being  an independent company working with Hollywood on the production of quality African and other International works in film and television in the Americas and other countries worldwide. Showcase the skills, ethics, and artistic expressions that demonstrate the excellence and professional work standards in our performances.

 Mel Novak (Bruce Lee’s Game of Death, Samurai Cop 2) has starred in more than 60 feature films. He has starred in films opposite the likes of icons such as Steve McQueen, Yul Brenner, Chuck Norris, David Carradine, Rosie O’Donnell, Dan Ackroyd and many others. Mel is also inducted in four different Martial Arts Hall of Fame. Mel has been bestowed with numerous awards for his acting work as well as humanitarian awards. He has been volunteering on Skid Row for over 30 years and has counseled prisoners at the most dangerous prisons in the country and has also volunteered with the Special Olympics. He has guested on outlets such as TBN and the 700 Club. Mel starred in Samurai Cop
2: Deadly Vengeance, the #1 grossing indie martial arts action movie of 2015 and currently stars in the Sony Studios released Check Point alongside William Forsythe, WWE Wresting Champion Bill Goldberg and Kenny Johnson. He also recently guest starred in the three time Peabody nominated series Suspense show on XM satellite radio. 
  
  
 Dawna Lee Heising is a working actress and the vice president of Aki Aleong’s Mustard Seed Media Group.  Dawna has worked on Gregory Hatanaka’s “Samurai Cop 2: Deadly Vengeance” with Tommy Wiseau; Ted V. Mikels’ “Ten Violent Women; Part Two”; Richard Rossi’s “Canaan Land Gregory Blair’s “Garden Party Massacre; Michael S. Rodriguez’s “Lake of Shadows”; Nicholas McDonald’s “Fight or Die”; She won Best Actress for her role as Naomi Perkins in "After School Massacre" at the 2014 Mockfest Film Festival.  She also won a 2013 EOTM Award for Outstanding Television Talk Show Host for her television show "Eye on Entertainment", soon to be on Amazon Prime.
 Dawna won Ms. World 2008; Ms. Universe 2009; Mrs. California United States 2000; Mrs. American Achievement 2001; and Miss Galactic Film Festival 2015. She is a past winner of Miss Los Angeles Chinatown; Miss Orange County Universe: Miss San Francisco Universe; and Miss California Hemisphere, among other titles. She has worked as a model for Ujena Swimwear; Venus Swimwear; Catalina; Bikini Magazine; Glamour Magazine; FVM Global Magazine; Glitz Magazine; and CVH 1st Class Magazine.
  
The Los Angeles Nollywood Film Awards Goes International​​
